TRAINING SUCCESS STORY Her lifestyle up to that point had been sedentary, so she opted to train with Chris twice a week to get started on a sound and consistent path toward more healthy activity. Since then she has remained dedicated to her workouts and has never missed an appointment. Though she never ran before, she now runs daily, has become a member of the Hudson Mohawk Road Runner’s Club, and has joined Chris as a regular competitor on the local road racing circuit. Uzma has dropped 30 pounds using the guidance of the book “Ultra-Metabolism,” our recommended reading, along with the Weight Watchers program. She has since recruited her two daughters into the active lifestyle and they are both working with Chris as well. MOVEMENT SCREEN UPDATE Several of your Plaza Fitness professionals attended a movement screening workshop this summer and earned certifications. The rest of the staff will be pursuing the certification this fall. The movement screen helps us, and you, establish healthy movement patterns that allow you to function with optimal health, well-being, and a lower risk of injury. Once you’ve completed the screening we can recommend and guide you through corrective exercises which address muscular imbalances, stabilizing weak areas and mobilizing tight areas. All of our
new members are being taken through a movement screen as part of our intake
process, and we encourage existing members to arrange a complimentary
session with one of our fitness professionals. It will make a difference
