PERSONAL TRAINING SUCCESS STORY

Kathleen and Burt were referred to us by their physician, Dr. Ann Carey Tobin. Kathleen has dealt with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for many years, and Burt has been diagnosed with osteoporosis and diabetes, so their doctor has recommended more exercise to manage these health issues. Kathleen has also looked forward to returning to yoga practice, as her mobility has decreased significantly since a knee surgery.

We are awaiting the results of Burt’s first bone scan since his resistance training program began with Stephanie in April. However, we do know that his strength in several important parameters, including the chest press and leg press and bicep curl exercises, has nearly doubled. Kathleen, meanwhile, has had to resort to taking codeine to control her joint and muscle pain only once in the last three months, whereas she used to take it daily. Her pain and fatigue symptoms have improved to the point where flare-ups are less likely, and less severe when they do occur. In addition, Kathleen thoroughly enjoyed a weekend yoga workshop at The Kripalu Institute in Lenox, in just a little over 2 months since starting her strength and flexibility workouts with Jane.

THE VALUE OF ASSESSMENTS

Would you like to have a good idea of what your current health status is, and what genetic dispositions toward certain health issues you may have so you can make lifestyle choices to help you stay healthy in the future? We have an assessment tool for that!

Would you like to know where crucial muscle imbalances may be occurring in your body, so you can learn corrective exercises to improve your muscle performance and stamina? We have an assessment for that, too!

Would you believe us if we told you assessments can add focus and motivation to your workouts? We believe they can, and we believe you’ll find it’s true. Ask one of our fitness professionals about which assessment tools would be most meaningful for you and your goals, or set up an assessment session by calling 482-2266.
