TRAINING IS HERE! TAI
CHI AND RESISTIVE FLEXIBILITY GROUP TRAINING Resistive Flexibility begins Tuesday, September 5th at 5:30 pm: First week is complimentary! Try this revolutionary new technique integrating strength and flexibility, led by Jane Hawksley Ogle. Resistive Flexibility offers immediate and cumulative increases in flexibility, takes the pain out of stretching, and protects you from injuring yourself by over-stretching with a series of sixteen unique stretches for all major muscle groups. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring your own sticky mat. Please sign up for this special complimentary class no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, September 4th. Tai Chi begins Sunday, September 10th at 10:30 am: Centuries ago the Chinese developed the ancient martial art of Tai Chi to gently energize your body, relieve stress, strengthen the mind/body connection, and improve balance and flexibility. This session your leader, Lorraine Noval, will focus on a series of postures particularly beneficial for arthritis, increasing the comfort and fluidity of your joints. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. The Group Training fees are as follows, with payment for the full 8-week session required prior to the initial session: 2 participants, $30 per session, $240 per 8-weeks; 3 participants, $20 per session, $160 per 8-weeks; 4 participants, $15 per session, $120 per 8-weeks; 5 participants, $12 per session, $96 per 8-weeks; 6 participants, $10 per session, $80 per 8-weeks. Non-members are welcome to participate in group training for an additional $10 per session. NEW GROUP EXERCISE SCHEDULE BEGINS SEPTEMBER 5TH Take a look at our new Group Exercise schedule and start planning to get in the group! Make the most of the great variety of healthy activities with the help of our outstanding group leaders, Nola, Laurie, Jerrick, Jane, Kyle, and Jason. They’ll keep you motivated, in good form, and moving forward with strength, balance, endurance, and grace! Please remember to follow our sign-up procedures by calling us at 482-2266 no later than 4:00 pm the day of evening sessions, no later than 8:00 pm the night before our morning sessions, and no later than 10:00 am the day of afternoon sessions. PERSONAL TRAINING STAFF GROWS There has been an exceptional increase in the demand for our professional approach to personal training, which makes us both very proud and very busy! Word is getting out that our specialized approach to personal training is changing people’s lives, so we’ve brought some exceptionally dedicated certified trainers aboard our team of fitness professionals. Nola Royce and Tina Koehler are stepping into their new training roles having been leaders in our Group Exercise programs, and Andrew Kwiatkowski has been working hard on our maintenance staff prior to setting his sights on his personal training certification. Also joining the team is David Ferrill, a Plaza Fitness member and avid cyclist. (Incidentally, all of these new team members earned WITS certifications under Jane Hawksley Ogle’s and Kyle Jenks’ tutelage!) We know that Nola, Tina, Andrew and David will help you feel confident in the effectiveness of your workout activities with healthy recommendations and expert advice. MOVE
