ACHIEVE OPTIMAL HEALTH WITH PERSONAL TRAINING

Many people have been sneaking a peek into our renovated room next to the Functional Training Studio. Soon the waiting and wondering will be over, and we’ll be unveiling our Lifestyle Training Center. Through our personal training focus we’re building a legacy of lasting results and meaningful change in the lives of our personal training clients, and Lifestyle Training is a natural extension of personal training. Our new services will include nutritional guidance, nutritional support, appropriate micro/macro nutrient recommendations, meal planning, wellness strategies for recovery and stress reduction, and optimal health guidance. Look for it to launch on September 1, 2006!

A HEALTHY ROLE MODEL

Gail aims to be here 3 days a week to exercise but often visits once or twice a week. Nevertheless, since she joined Plaza Fitness and began incorporating more steady state aerobic activity into her already active lifestyle, Gail has decreased her blood pressure! Her systolic pressure has dropped from 130, which is considered high enough to require medical intervention, down to 96. Blood pressure is an important measure of cardiovascular health, and one aspect of health that responds quickly to healthy lifestyle changes. So even if you have a tough time achieving optimal levels of activity, just keep doing the best you can because you’re bound to achieve healthy results! Please ask how we can help you, anytime.

LOSE WEIGHT WITH MOVE TO LIVE THIS JULY

Are you ready to kick start your health and weight control? Our next Move to Live program begins Wednesday, June 7th at 7:30 pm, and meets each Wednesday night at that time throughout June. Learn how you, too, can change your life for the better through activity and healthy eating. This program is included in your membership, and non-members may participate with a physician referral. Forms are available at www.plazafitness.net. Call us at 482-2266 to register.

RESULTS WITH ACTIVTRAX

When you consistently follow through with your ActivTrax workouts, which are designed with your preferences and abilities in mind, you are sure to see results! Also adding to your motivation are the assessments, which are required at regular intervals to keep you accountable and help you continue to progress. Find out today how ActivTrax can keep you moving forward!

Linda has noticed a real difference in her strength and tone, especially in her upper body, in her last few months of ActivTrax training. Sure enough, she’s gone from Level Two to Level Three in her resistance training, and from Level Seven to Level Eleven in her abdominal training.

SPRING CLEAN-UP

Sure, spring is behind us. And speaking of behind, did you leave behind a towel, a hair-dryer, a pair of socks or pants at Plaza Fitness? It’s time again to clear out the “Lost and Found” bin, so if any of your belongings have gone missing please check here and claim them before July 15th. Any unclaimed items will be recycled, donated, or otherwise disposed of.

MORE CYCLING WITH KYLE

Ride with Kyle, rain or shine, at the Bennington Monument in Old Bennington, VT for a scenic cycling day trip, touring 17 miles of somewhat hilly terrain including three covered bridges! A free tour of the Bennington Museum is included, along with an optional guided tour of Park McCullough House, the lovely historic mansion, where you’ll stop for lunch. You can BYO lunch (the support vehicle will keep it chilled) or order off the menu at the mansion. The rain or shine dates for the Bennington Ride are Saturday July 15th and Saturday September 2nd, both from 10 am to 4 pm. The cost is $35 per person, excluding optional tour and lunch fees. For more information about the ride and how to train properly for these and longer bike rides, see Kyle Jenks or e-mail kyle@plazafitness.net.
