Fitness represents Korey's vision of a specialized personal training
center emphasizing members' optimal health. Prior to operating Plaza
Fitness at Stuyvesant Plaza, he provided personal training services
to a diverse clientele and developed corporate fitness programs
such as Plaza Fitness at 80 State Street. He also served as Assistant
Director, Fitness/Wellness at Indiana University in Bloomington
and interned within the cardiac rehabilitation program at St. Peter's
Hospital in Olympia, Washington.
Outdoor
activities such as hiking, biking, tennis, and skiing keep him busy.

Stephanie
is a 2006 graduate from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Applied Exercise Science. Following her senior year of
college, she was a wellness intern at the renowned Canyon Ranch
in the Berkshires. While at Canyon Ranch, Stephanie promoted events,
observed medical treatments, gathered research for the exercise
physiology department, and, most importantly, inspired others to
lead a healthy lifestyle. She is certified by NSCA as a strength
and conditioning specialist. Along with a passion for health and
wellness, Stephanie has been dancing since the age of four.

Cory
transitioned easily into his role as a certified personal trainer,
after years of experience as a sportsman, athlete, and as a boxing
trainer for both children and adults in Albany. He is currently
pursuing a degree in physical education to expand his theoretical
background and instructional skills. Cory has attended the National
Golden Gloves tournament both as a boxer and as an assistant coach,
and he brings the energy of a competitor and the compassion of a
coach to his training sessions. He has worked with a diverse clientele,
bringing documented progress and feelings of success to individuals
with a variety of abilities and health conditions.
In
addition to his sports and fitness pursuits, Cory enjoys traveling. |
James

James
brings extensive professional expertise which comes with owning
and operating his own personal training business. James completed
an Associates Degree in Physical Education from Hudson Valley Community
College, and he earned a Bachelor of Science from the Palm Beach
Atlantic University Physical Education-Teacher Education Program.
His concentrations were in exercise science and athletic training.
James continued his fitness education with a 2000 hour internship
in athletic training and strength and conditioning at Florida Atlantic
University.
While
fitness education is a favorite pursuit, James' many interests also
include antiques, collectibles, classic cars, coins, comics, fishing,
forestry, sports, and cooking.

Ashleigh
graduated with honors from The University of Texas at Austin with
a degree in Kinesiology and Health Education. During her collegiate
career, she focused her studies on learning how to help others lead
a healthier lifestyle. Upon graduation, she worked as an exercise
physiologist at a local hospital where she developed tailored exercise
programs for bariatric and cardiac rehab patients. She worked closely
with a variety of patients by evaluating, monitoring and developing
customized exercise programs as part of their treatment strategy.
She effectively encourages and supports clients to accomplish their
health and fitness objectives. Ashleigh has always been passionate
about helping others achieve their goals and is excited to bring
this enthusiasm to Plaza Fitness.

Randi
joins Plaza Fitness with over 16 years of fitness experience. She
has been the Fitness Director and Personal Trainer at two local
fitness facilities. Randi's passions and skills are wide ranging,
from group fitness classes by Les Mills, Spinning, Resist-a-ball,
and Bosu.
In
2000, Randi completed her Yoga certification in an Anusara style
while training at Yoga People in Brooklyn, New York. Her students
range from beginner to advanced levels. Her commitment to Yoga led
her to the Lotus Palm School in Montreal, studying the techniques
of Thai Yoga Bodywork.

Justin
graduated from Syracuse University in the spring of 2008 with a
B.S. in Health and Exercise Science. He has been working at various
wellness centers and health clubs for the past 6 years. He spent
the majority of his undergraduate time working as a personal trainer
and lacrosse coach at Syracuse University. After receiving his degree,
he continued working as a Fitness Professional at Equinox Health
Club on Wall St. in Manhattan. His passion for physical fitness,
health, and wellness allows him to better those he works and interacts
with on an individual basis. Justin's professional philosophy is
:It's not WHY you exercise, but HOW you exercise that makes the
difference. Justin enjoys any and all types of recreational activity.
During the summer months he considers himself to be a weekend warrior.

Elizabeth
graduated from St. Lawrence Universtiy with a Bachelor of Science
in Psychology. All throughout school she participated in a variety
of sports, and after college decided to pursue a physically active
profession like Personal Training. For 3 years she worked at the
YMCA in Nashville, TN as a personal trainer and coach for marathon
runners. She moved back to New York and became a private personal
trainer, and as her passion grew for educating newcomers to exercise
she decided to join Plaza Fitness. Elizabeth enjoys skiing, volleyball,
and other outdoor activities.

Joe
Graduated in December 2007 from SUNY Brockport with a B.S. in Physical
Education with a concentration in Exercise Physiology. Before graduating
Joe completed an internship with the Albany River Rats. Working
side by side with the athletic trainer, Joe gained invaluable experience
training the players. After graduating, Joe moved to San Francisco
where he worked as a personal trainer and became interested in ultra-endurance
sports. He has completed a 50 mile running race and recently completed
his first Iron Man, where he won his age group. Through sport and
training for Iron Man, Joe has learned what it takes to set goals,
overcome obstacles and ultimately achieve goals. |

Grace
joins Plaza Fitness and the capital district with 19 years of personal
training from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands were she had her own
business. She graduated from Naropa University in 2005 with her
master's degree; completed her 200 hr. certification with It's Yoga
San Francisco in 2007 even though she has been teaching Ashtanga
Vinyasa yoga for 5 years.
Grace has a diverse personal background. Grace studied kick-boxing
with Sensei Richard Pearson; as well as Ninjitsu & grappling
in 1996. Grace then pursued auto racing completing the course with
Skip Barber Racing School. She was only female auto racer in field
of 75 with Skip Barber Racing Series in 1997 at Sebring & Homestead
tracks in FL, as well as Lime Rock in Conn. In the islands she competed
in short distance running races, triathlons, & half marathons.
Personally a 7 time marathoner with a P.R. of 3:33 in Boston 2000.
Her debut year was 1998 with 4 triathlons & her first marathon
in N.Y. City. Currently Grace loves Ashtanga and has a 6 day a week
practice, plus snowshoes & walks her 5 dogs a lot.

Brianna
received her training and certification to practice Holistic Health
and Nutrition Counseling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition,
which is the only wellness/nutrition school integrating all the
different dietary theories—combining the knowledge of traditional
philosophies with modern concepts like the USDA food pyramid, the
glycemic index, the Zone, and raw foods. Through the Institute for
Integrative Nutrition, she also received her certificate from Teachers
College of Colombia University. Brianna decided to pursue this amazing
career after experiencing a significant health transformation from
embracing a healthy lifestyle. Brianna's goals as a counselor are
for her clients to find the power and love within themselves to
take control of their lives, and to gain the confidence and the
knowledge they need to achieve optimal health.
